For each one, we've listed one or more online resources that will help you organize the information that you and your team carries in your head and in your financial statements into a format that investors can use and evaluate.
Depending on your business and the type and amount of investment you are seeking, you may not need to use all of the tools listed below. But any business seriously seeking investment must prepare:
- A solid business plan
- Past financial statements - including a balance sheet, cashflow statement and profit and loss statement
- An investment proposal detailing how new capital will be used and how it will affect business performance
